James Edward Silver, 97, died, Friday, March 8, 1915 in Broken Arrow, Ok. James was born December 7, 1915 in Tulsa, Ok to Charles & Katie Silver. He was a retired Geologist and owner of Olympic Petroleum. James was preceded in death by first wife, Augusta, a daughter Carol, his parents and one brother. He is survived by his wife, LaRuth of the home; two children: a son, Burr Arthur Silver and his wife, Linda of Granbury, Texas and a daughter, Frances McCurdy and her husband, Bill of Cypress, Texas; five grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; three brothers: Albert Silver, Jack Silver and Robert Silver; two sisters: Pat Rogers and Katie Bailey. Memorial contributions may be made to Owasso Baptist Children's Home. Visitation is 12:00 noon to 5:00 p.m., Sunday, March 10, 2013 at Stanleys Funeral Service and service time is 2:00 p.m., Monday, March 11, 2013 at Stanleys Memorial Chapel, Tulsa, Ok.
